Step 1

Register for BoltWX

• Register for BoltWX to receive your access code and the access number you will send messages to.

Step 2

Send a message

• Satellite messaging currently only works on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 with iOS 18 installed. Follow the prompts on your phone to connect to the satellite (see demo here).
• From your iPhone, send a message to the BoltWX access number and include your location and the BoltWX access code in the message.
  
  Your message should look like this:
  BoltWX weather #ACCESSCODE# (48.1234, -123.4567)
  
  
• You can copy your GPS location from a mapping service such as Google Maps or Gaia. You should receive a message back from BoltWX with your weather report.
